Valada is proud of its church dating from the year 1211, in the reign of Dom Afonso II. The Rainha Dona Amélia Bridge is another unmissable place.
It is also in this parish that we can find one of the last poultry villages in the country, Palhota, a typical fishermen's village, built with wooden houses, like stilts.
